Expect traffic delays around Gloucester city centre this weekend as the Tall Ships Festival comes to town.
Here are the scheduled and expected delays along with suggested routes and Park and Ride services to help you get to your destination faster across the bank holiday weekend.
Friday 24th May
High Orchard Bridge will be closed to traffic as it’s lifted between 12pm and 2pm. All routes around the bridge will be affected.
Delays expected around Gloucester Docks on Southgate Street and Llanthony Road as police redirect traffic trying to access St Anns Way. Diversions are well sign posted.
There will be a good park and ride service running from Barnwood, EDF Energy starting tomorrow to Monday and Quedgeley Waterwells today to Monday. Services running every 15 to 20 minutes. The park and rides are well sign posted from all major routes into Gloucester.
Saturday 25th to Monday 27th May
There are delays expected around Gloucester Docks because of the Tall Ships festival.
Expect all car parks to be busy today so use park and ride where possible.
There will be delays on roads around the following car parks:

There is a good park and ride service running from Barnwood, EDF Energy running today every 15 minutes until 4.30pm, and Quedgeley Waterwells running every 20 minutes until 5pm. The park and rides are well sign posted from all major routes into Gloucester.
