And not only are they selling loads of albums and wooing teen girls with their Bieber bangs, but they’re making history: 1D (as they are known on the fan boards — just go with it) are the first British pop group to ever debut at the top Billboard spot. As in, not even the Spice Girls managed that. A British band that is bigger than the Spice Girls?! It is almost too much to take in.
